Veggie-Tales Lettuce Love One Another Review

Just in time for a Valentines gift!

As you all know I love Veggie-Tales and so do my kids.   So I am excited to review "Lettuce Love One Another".

This DVD contains the following Stories:

Tomato Sawyer & Huckleberry Larry's Big River Rescue: In this Veggie-Tale my kids learn that helping others isn't always the easy thing to do.   Just because it's the right thing to do it may require a sacrifice of something you may want.

Abe and the Amazing Promise: This Veggie-Tale teaches us the lesson of Patience.  Jr has to wait for cookies and we are ushered into a tale of Abe (Abraham) and Sarah, and there wait for a son.   Add the mix of a TV crew and an element of chaos and that patience really gets tested.

King George and the Ducky:  This Veggie-Tale is a story on Selfishness and putting others first.  King George wants all the Rubber Ducky's in the whole kingdom but as moms we know things cannot work that way.

The Review!
As soon as "Lettuce Love One Another" came in the mail my kids were jumping up and down with a chant of "Veggie Tales".   They could not wait for me to show them the video.

They were especially excited to watch the King George and the Ducky Veggie-Tale.  Despite having a library of Veggie-Tales we have missed this one.   This one is based on the Bible tale of David and Bathsheba. Instead of Bathsheba they use a rubber ducky.   King George has to say I'm sorry and make it right.  Great idea to teach kids on how to say I'm sorry.

Tomato Sawyer & Huckleberry Larry's Big River Rescue has been playing in our Car DVD player continuously for the last 3 months.  The songs for this film are very stick in your head type of songs.  If you have ever read Tom Sawyer you will laugh your head off with the creativity of this film.   Veggie-Tales always have something for the Adults to laugh about like the Mark Twain character that looks a like Colonel Sanders.

Abe and the Amazing Promise had my kids laughing at the mix-up of Patience and Patients.  With the film company nurse getting confused every-time the word was said.   The French peas are in this one so you know it's going to get funny and a little silly. This one teaches my kids that waiting isn't easy.

You also get 3 Silly songs with this set and "Bible Bits" with lessons in forgiveness, helping, giving, praying and sharing that are animated stories like those of the good Samaritan and the wicked servant.  I really enjoyed these and each comes with a Bible verse to memorize.

You can order this collection now through the Veggie Tales Store.
You can also Pre-order VeggieTales: Lettuce Love One Another on Amazon which will be released on January 15th.
