Moments with God: Homosexuality

To start let me give you a story. There was a man who got very angry and beat his wife to death. His feelings of anger were not wrong but acting on the anger was wrong. We all get angry but we have to have the self-control not to allow ourselves to act on our anger.

Homosexuality is in a way like anger or any other sexual sin. The Bible is very clear on how God see's it. He see's it as a sin.
Lev. 18:22...You shall not lie with a male as with a woman; it is an abomination
Romans 1:26-28 For this reason God gave them up to degrading passions. Their women exchanged natural intercourse for unnatural, and in the same way also the men, giving up natural intercourse with women, were consumed with passion for one another. Men committed shameless acts with men and received in there own person the due penalty for their error.
1 Corth. 6:9-10. Do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived! Fornicators, idolaters, adulterers, male prostitutes, sodomites, thieves the greedy, drunkards, revilers, robbers,---None of these will inherit the kingdom of God.
Temptation is not wrong, but acting on it is.

I've had sins of sexual nature also. I had lots of sex before marriage, which was wrong. Unfortunately, I didn't understand that the consequences don't always come right away. In my marriage is where a lot of the sins from my past really made me realize that God's laws are for my protection. Even though God has forgiven me for those actions Satan uses those images from my past to make my life and enjoyment in sex much more difficult. I don't struggle as much now when things are good in my marriage, but when things get difficult satan knows just how to remind me of things from my past and mess with my contentment with my life.
Heb. 4:15: For we do not have a high priest (Jesus) who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who in EVERY respect has been tested as we are yet without sin.
So saying that that people cannot understand unless they are homosexual is not correct. Sin is sin.

1 Corth. 10:13: No testing has overtaking you that is not COMMON TO EVERYONE. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tested beyond your strength, but with the testing he will provide the way out so that you many be able to endure it.
So people who struggle with homosexuality are not different, they are the same as everyone else who struggles with sin. God doesn't excuse it, he provides a way out. He doesn't say it's easy, he says we have to try not to do it. Because we are not perfect and do mess up He had to die.

You just can't give up fighting sin.
Romans 6:1-6 What then are we to say? Should we continue in sin in order that grace my abound? By no means! How can we who died to sin go on living in it? Do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? Therefore we have been buried with him by baptism into death, so that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, so we too might walk in the newness of life. For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we will certainly be untied with him in a resurrection like his. We know that our OLD self was crucified with him so that the body of sin might be destroyed, and we might no longer be enslaved to sin.
Romans 6: 12 Therefore do not let sin exercise dominion in your mortal bodies to make you obey their passions.
Luke 9:23 Then he said to them all, "If any want to become my followers, let them DENY themselves and take up there cross daily and follow me."
If you struggle with this sin please don't  give up the fight against satan. You can't follow God and satan at the same time. God said sin is wrong
